You must be at least 13 years old to use LumiSource. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 13 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
• All information you provide is accurate and truthful

Users under the age of 18 represent that they have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.

LumiSource does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete such information immediately.

Parents or guardians may contact us to request deletion of a minor's data.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information.

By using LumiSource, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

To access certain features of LumiSource, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

LumiSource is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to safeguard login information.

LumiSource is an AI-powered educational platform that provides tools including, but not limited to:

• College application analysis
• Essay evaluation and feedback
• Academic planning tools
• Practice content and learning tools
• AI-generated educational insights
• Data-driven recommendations

LumiSource provides educational guidance and informational services only and does not provide admissions guarantees, certifications, or official academic credentials.

LumiSource uses artificial intelligence systems to analyze user-provided content, generate feedback, and provide recommendations.

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

• AI systems may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or biased results
• Outputs are informational and advisory in nature
• AI-generated content should not be treated as professional, legal, medical, or admissions advice
• AI outputs must not be solely relied upon for decision-making
• Human judgment and independent verification are required

User inputs may be processed by automated systems for analysis and service delivery.

Aggregated and anonymized usage data may be used to improve platform performance and system functionality. Personal data is not used to train external AI foundation models or third-party AI systems.

Users may upload content including essays, academic information, application materials, test scores, demographic data, responses, and other educational information ("User Content").

Ownership

You retain ownership of your User Content.

License

By submitting User Content, you grant LumiSource a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, analyze, display, reproduce, use, and modify for technical purposes — solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and providing the Service.

User Content and personal data are retained only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated data, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Abuse, harass, or harm others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access
• Reverse engineer the platform
• Scrape data or circumvent security systems
• Interfere with platform operations
• Misuse AI systems or share accounts
• Impersonate others or upload malicious code
• Use bots, crawlers, scripts, or automated systems to access, scrape, extract, or harvest data
• Collect or harvest personal data from other users
• Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit platform data or outputs
• Use the Service to train, develop, or improve AI/ML models without prior written consent
• Use the Service to facilitate cheating, fraud, misrepresentation, or falsification in academic work, testing, or admissions

All content, software, systems, models, interfaces, branding, and technology used in the Service are the property of LumiSource or its licensors.

You are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership rights to LumiSource intellectual property.

LumiSource offers both free and paid subscription tiers.

Premium Subscription

• Price: $49/month
• Billing occurs on a recurring monthly basis

Refund Policy

If Premium doesn't improve your essay, you may request a full refund of your first payment within 7 days of purchase. Just contact us at info@lumisource.io and we'll take care of it. After 7 days, your subscription renews monthly; you can cancel anytime to stop future charges, but past monthly payments are non-refundable.

Unauthorized chargebacks or payment disputes may result in account suspension or termination.

LumiSource reserves the right to modify pricing, features, and subscription structures at any time with notice.

LumiSource is not a school, college, university, admissions office, accrediting body, or certification authority.

LumiSource does not guarantee admission to any institution, scholarships, acceptance outcomes, academic placement, or performance results.

All content is provided for educational guidance and informational purposes only.

LumiSource may integrate with third-party services including payment processors, cloud providers, analytics services, and AI providers.

LumiSource is not responsible for third-party services or their policies.

LumiSource does not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation of the Service.

Maintenance, updates, outages, and service interruptions may occur without notice.

LumiSource reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, restrict access, modify or discontinue services, and enforce platform rules — with or without notice for violations of these Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LumiSource shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, loss of opportunities, admissions outcomes, AI errors, service interruptions, or platform inaccuracies.

Use of the Service is at your own risk.

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.

LumiSource disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LumiSource from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, your User Content, or your misuse of AI outputs.

LumiSource shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, government actions, internet outages, infrastructure failures, or labor disputes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.

All disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court.

You agree to waive the right to participate in class actions or class arbitration. Disputes shall be resolved individually.

Arbitration shall be conducted in the State of Texas under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without prior written consent. LumiSource may assign these Terms without restriction.

LumiSource reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

LumiSource may terminate or suspend your access at any time for any reason.
